The YEP reporting today that Andy Yiadom is set to join Reading with Leeds not having made a formal offer.
Not sure what this means as it did seem he was a target of PH's although I don't really know why with us having Ayling back from injury, Berardi, and Lewie Coyle abck after having a great season out on loan and playing a lot which should have ironed out a lot of flaws in his game that you only erradicate by experience. On the face of it it either means that a) it was lay journalism and we were never interested in him, b) PH changed his mind maybe due to Ayling's return from injury or c) Orta decided against making a move as he has either better options lined up or isn't prepared to back PH.
I know very little about Yiadom. Opinion seems split amongst Barnsley fans but he did appear to be highly thought of a year ago with newly promoted Huddersfield said to be trying to sign him. However a year is a long time in football and it may be that he has had a poor season and isn't as highly thought of as previously. Certainly nothing would suggest he was a star in a poor team.
