Good to end the season with a win but hopefully it will not paper over the cracks and give the impression to anyone that PH is a good manager. From reading Ian Holloway's after match interview it looks like QPR fielded a weak side with a few youngsters in it - something we should have been doing for the last few weeks once our season was effectively over. O'Connor seems to have been given the banishment treatment by PH who has often dropped people completely out of the squad without any real reason. Didn't really see the point in bringing back Ayling for a meaningless game and risk him getting a recurrance of his injury when there was the chance to allow the injury another couple of months to fully heal and recover. Am guessing that Pearce only kept his place in the team after last week's dressing down by the manager due to the lack of any other options. Nice for Edmondson to get a few minutes at the end after being an unused sub last week - no doubt this week PH didn't think the result was in any danger and as such brought him on whereas last week PH preferred to leave him on the bench as he preferred to put himself before the side by chasing a result that was meaningless apart from for him.
So all in all a win but still nothing to suggest PH is the right man for the job. The decision to drop Saiz will hopefully not see Saiz wanting to leave. With the correct manager and tactics Saiz could be an absolute key player next season pulling the strings in a way similar to Strachan in the 1989-1990 promotion season.
